Throwback Thursday: Old-school Hornet Rebuilds

So we are takin' a trip in the way, way back machine! These Hornet rebuilds would be among some of my earliest customs, the grey v1 Hornet in particular. Both were from a time long before Mega released official Hornets in more realistic colors. Of course when that finally occurred, these promptly passed from our collection into that of another Halo buddy. He was uniquely afflicted with a fetish for red Halo vehicles and figures! Unfortunately I lost track of him after the demise of Spartan Bloks.

While not as sophisticated as my later realistically colored Hornet rebuilds, there were elements of these builds I'm still proud of. The custom fabricated over-wing tri-barrel cannons and the Bungie concept art based "Stinger" tail gunner mod are both found on my green camo L&S Hornet rebuilds today.
