He is behind the Spartan. The energy sword hummed in the damp humid air. Sizzling as the air particles met the hot plasma of the blade. The guns buzzing with smoldering plasma trained and ready to fire. The Elite Major looked into the blank and emotionless faceplate of the Spartan. With a thrust of his blade fire rang out in the night. The load boom of fusion and hot metal explosions resonating throughout the canyons walls. As they shots echoed across the hollow valley. They ended as abruptly as they began. Silence.
