First off, this is a hybrid build that ultilises Mega Construx, Lego and Cardboard to create a fully articulated, easy to pose minifig scale Scarab. If anyone asks to what type of minifigure this rather big figure is scaled to, it's scaled to the old elite figures.
I have already posted both the prototype build of this Scarab and the uncompleted model on this website, but I decided to now post the finished thing.
The Scarab Manly utilises mega construx and lego for an endoskeleton, although small amounts of mega construx are also used to connect the small plasma turrets to the Scarabs chassis.
The Scarab can perform all the movement poses of the H3 Scarab that don't have the Scarab clipping into itself or the scenery with ease. The head and the AA gun can be easily moved as well, and to top it all off, the Scarab has no problem carrying a bigger amount of figures and it isn't reliant on sturdy terrain!
This is probably one of my favorite builds that I have done!
