Since Mega has yet to reveal the Spring 2023 sets, I thought I would do another prediction post that's more like the one I made for the 2022 sets
For the 15-dollar set that has been codenamed "Mudslide", I think it's a H3 Mongoose set to go with the Elephant and to help us army build some of the new H3 Marines and perhaps give us some Halo 3 style Covenant again. Since the Halo 3 Mongoose is really simple, I feel like this will have a super small side build like a Plasma Turret or a Deployable Cover.
There was also another leaked set for this wave codenamed "Everest" and I strongly feel like it's a Banished Drop Pod. It would be just like the last ones complete with the door flying off gimmick except based on the Halo Infinite War Banished version. The figure would most likely be a Brute Warrior with a painted Ravager and maybe a painted Mangler or a normal Gravity Hammer as a secondary weapon.
For the other 3, we don't have any leaked listings yet but I still feel like are highly likely to come out. Such as an overpriced 6 pack of figures which seem like will happen at least once year now. I feel like this next one will have 2 Skimmer figures as well as 2 other Banished, a Spartan, and a Marine. Kinda like the Garrison pack. I bet one of the Garrison pack figures would be whatever Grunt was originally planned to be in the Scorpion before it was removed. I feel like the other Banished figure would be an Elite Warlord since they haven't used that mold much.
If we are gonna get a couple proper building sets like we did for last year's early 2023 line, and with them potentially wanting to keep giving us a lot of Infinite stuff, I feel like they will start scrapping the bottom of the barrel and give us a Catalus Chopper. They would probably try and give it the hard light blades it extends when boosting so it can stand out from the normal one more and because those are key parts of the Catalus Chopper as well. Because of that though, the set might lean more towards 30 bucks which is why I think it will come with 4 figures, Hyperius with a Ravager, Spartan Theodore with a Commando Rifle and Screwdriver, an Elite Mercenary, and a Brute Warrior. In addition those, I feel like it would come with some crates for scenery.
Lastly, if we do get a larger set in this wave, I have a strong feeling it's gonna be a Revenant vs Scythe set. We haven't gotten new original Covenant in a long time (Ghost of Requiem and Arbiter's quest don't count) and especially not the Revenant nor have we ever gotten a Scythe so perhaps they will put both in a single set. For the figures, I feel like we will get an Elite Minor, an Elite Officer with a new helmet piece, 1 or 2 Army Troopers, and either Kat, Noble 6, or a made-up Reach Spartan-like another Haunted/ Pilot Spartan.
That's about all I have to say for now tbh. I hope Mega reveals stuff within a week or two. I am really excited about what we might get.
