Hey guys! This Friday I’m closing the week off with one of my most highly requested figures ever and my second #haloween figure, something that I am very proud to finally showcase. Here is the Halo 3: Flood Combat Form! This figure was HAND SCULPTED from head to toe and includes TONS of new features! Starting off, I had to entirely rework how I went about flood forms from the past. This time, I hand sculpted the growths and “face” on the body, sculpting the elites head over the back of the shoulder, more reminiscent of in game. Next, I sculpted the left bicep and the forearm, adding the two larger tendrils and one smaller. After this, I sculpted the thighs along side the multiple shattered armor pieces and finally got to work on paints. To begin, I repainted the armor pieces in macragge blue, adding hints of navy blue for depth. After this, I applied 3 layers of different flesh tones, one layer of dry brush olive and one layer of dry brush bone to really set the flood flesh look. I added additional bone and dark brown dry brushing as well as corvus for the under suit. After all of the paint was complete, I did a two tone wash of flesh tone and dark wash. A neat feature I tried to include was keeping the front tendrils removable and interchangeable with other floods! The culmination of this figure was exactly what I wanted, and hopefully you all like it too! Let me know your thoughts below, and have a safe Halo-Ween this year! Enjoy!
