Ever wanted your Spartans to actually look like they've been through a battle? Here's an easy way to achieve some really nice weathering that will also bring out some of the molded detail in the armor.
Supplies needed:
1. Kiwi liquid shoe polish, brown and/or black (or you can use the shoe cream. I personally have used the cream. It comes in a tube)
2. Cotton swabs
3. Masking tape
4. Tissue/napkin (optional)
To start cover up your Spartan's visor and any other printing you wish to preserve with masking tape. Then slather the end of a swab up with shoe polish and rub it in large amounts over the figure. Make sure it works into the little molded details. Then wipe the excess polish off with a clean swab or a napkin. Use black first, allow to dry overnight, then add a layer of brown. Repeat until you are satisfied with the results. (Brown shoe polish can be excellent rust on silver/gray weapons)
I'm planning on doing a video to show the process soon. Hope this helps. :D
