Hello everyone! It’s been a while, sorry for my leave of absence posting wise. But I’m back with another figure! A custom ODST Marksman, 1 of 2 for a commission on discord. Also this is the figure I finished up on stream last night.
At the beginning of making him I got really frustrated as I’m still learning how to use a wet palette. But I think I’m getting the hang on using a wet palette. So my confidence is back and I’m ready to paint more figures. I made this guy using a direct reference from Halo 3: ODST using theater mode and the characters with stock colors. Had to experiment with the camo on the arms and thighs as last time I did the camo it looked nothing like it did in game. And for that mixing was key, making a darker grey to go on top of first grey color. The person who commissioned the figure also wanted a cod back pack done to match. Which was a challenge as there are no references I could use, but I think it turned out well. With the ODST is a Halo: Reach DMR, kind of mixing games here but it matches very well with the figure. It’s also completely accurate to halo reach.
Paints used:
-Mechanicus standard grey
-Abbadon black
-Runefang steel
-Grey seer
-leadbelcher
-The fang
-Corax white
-Nuln oil
Paints used (weapon):
-Mechanicus standard grey
-Abbadon black
-iron warriors
-leadbelcher
-averland sunset
-mephiston red
-runefang steel
-death world forest
-the fang
-bold titanium white
-nuln oil
Sprays used:
-chaos black spray primer
-Munitorum matte varnish
Thank you guys for checking out the figure and I hope you have a good day!
