On a remote planet in the far reaches of the Galaxy, the Covenant have discovered an ancient artifact of unknown origin. What ever it is, they want it. Unknown to them however, the UNSC wants it too. They race to the box, but the Covenant is already there. So, like any reasonable marine would, they respond with the infallible tactic of "drown it in lead". Now, the Covenant easily out-gun the humans (as they usually do), but the Marines have something on their side that the Covenant could only ever dream of having: a Spartan. You might be thinking to yourself, "He's a Spartan, he's probably a pretty smart guy, why did he target the least threatening alien first?". Well, that's because he knows you have to learn to enjoy the little things in life. So he shoots at aliens, gets the box, gets promoted, gets an achievement, and boosts his gamerscore by a sweet 30 points. It's the best day of his life except for the time he got a pay raise on his birthday while in cryo-sleep, but he doesn't remember that one too well.
