Just a quick guide I think might be interesting for everyone.
Step 1 - Gather materials. You'll need:
- Paint of your choice to get the blood/scar effect. I use Army Painter warpaints.
- A figure you wish to wound. I'm going for this desert sniper dude.
- A nice, sharp hobby knife
Step 2 - Open up your paint and apply a small amount to the blade of the knife.
Step 3 - Use the knife to cut the figure where you want the effect to be. In this case, the right side of the soldier's face.
Step 4 - Take a look at your work. The paint on the blade should have gone into the cut you made.
Step 5 - There's gonna be some excess paint on the figure, which you can wipe off if you want, or keep if you're going for a fresh, bloody wound effect.
Step 6 - See what kind of different effects you can get. I included a quick sample of 3 different soldiers with similar scars and cuts.
I'm sure someone else has done this before me, but I thought I'd share my method with everyone. Hope someone finds this useful!
