Alright... for all who do not know... here on the Gallery, I am known for setting things aflame by doing absolutely nothing. This characteristic stemmed from Zarry's version of me in his comedy series "Slapstick", which I then brought to Moronic Misadventures, MY comedy series. It has now just become my most notable trait on the Gallery.
So, with that info out of the way, this custom has been an idea I've had for a while, specifically for my Moronic Misadventures figure, but I never went through with it. However, recently, I bought multiple Halo Heroes Helljumpers and Jorges so that I could make some holiday versions of my figure (which are done, but I'm going to wait for their respective months to post them) , and had the idea come back. However, I still wasn't quite sure how I wanted to do it: What colors? Did I just want it to have normal detailing, but with fiery colors? Did I want to make flame detailing? I couldn't decide, until I was playing Skylanders: Superchargers a few days ago, (my 14 year old dog gets lonely, and will cry and bark until someone comes down, so I come down and play video games to keep him company). Spitfire, the Skylander that comes with the starterpack, has an upgrade that gives him a molten look, and as soon as I saw it, this idea came to my head.
So, I started painting yesterday, and finished today. However, until half an hour ago, the lava cracks were a straight orangish red color, with no color variation. Luckily, my brother is a fantastic artist, and gave me the tip of using bright orange on top of the dark red orange color, and now here we are; my favorite custom I have ever made. I seriously love the look of this figure. I had made it for Moronic Misadventures (and I still plan to use it for that, but who says comedy can't look epic?), and it turned out so freaking cool.
Anyways, I'm rambling. This is going to be my new signature figure, so that Dawn of Darkness Gregor can remain a different entity.
So long!
