Does anyone know where he's from?

I got this little guy as part of a lot, but I don't know what set he originally came in. I was fairly certain that he was the recruit from the Mammoth set, but the figures and armory section shows a Spartan Recruit with a red visor, not gold.

Anybody know?

And no, he's not custom painted.
