I think my custom is better as the official version is more of a pearl gold or champagne gold color while mine is painted I a metallic gold from Army painter

I love the new color for gold that Mega has been using. It's as close to gold as I think a toy can get without paint. That being said, the paint you used bends the light around the figure more realistically that the official figure, and I think it looks better because of it.
