“We walked away from the military compound in silence. I doubted that they would search for us, as it was still dark and by the time the sun rose, we could be several miles in any direction. So I wasn’t in a rush.
After about 15 minutes of walking, I asked the metal-headed mutant what his name was and introduced myself. He was called Brendon Alterio. We paused for a couple minutes to discuss our plans. I asked where he was planning to go. He said that he was from Texas, and would that he would like to make it back there if at all possible. I agreed because I had no better plan, however I said that we should find a town to get food, a car, and a map. I lead the way towards a small town that I had heard of, called Patriotsburg.
We found an overgrown road leading to the town. It was hard to believe that this could have happened in just a few weeks. Just one of the horrors of the new world. 30 minutes later, we arrived at the outskirts of the town. Then I saw it.
Rows of mutant heads on poles. The message was clear. I was about to tell Brendon that we should leave when I heard something behind me and turned to see someone taking down Brendon. Then something hit me in the head and everything went dark.”
Well. I literally wrote and “filmed” this a month and a half ago. I just got up the morale to post it.
Shoutout to Fireteam Glory for getting me more excited about Mega. Go check it out. The 100+ pages make a great story. Good job Red.
