@Murple well all it does is make what ever you place down such as a foot tingle due to the points being pressed into pressure points to relieve pain. Acupuncture though on the other hand I will agree looks to be torture but my aunt once a month always goes and gets it done and says it helps and my grandfather also has had acupuncture done to and its helped him. To all thier own though. I thought it be funny to put my figure on the mat and make a post
