As if spartans could aim down and look through optics. LOL

If any of you play paintball, you will know how useless optics are when wearing a full face goggle/helmet. You will need a crazy tall sight riser.

Of course, spartans may have some heads up display that interact with their weapon to show a cross hair and zooms in their FOV. In that case, no need to aim down sights.

Anyways, rants aside, hope you all enjoy and have a fun and safe 4th this weekend!!!!!

@Texas-259 Unless you're playing pump paintball or magfed paintball. Never was much of a fan of airsoft. Never played it. If you play recball with people that have electro paintball markers, some do tend to spray an pray. LOL

@WhoThCares Yeah, I think the smart link was mentioned in one of the novels. Correct me if I'm wrong. I also agree that most paintball markers do not apply, with the exception of magfed play. I was using it an example of how a full faced helmets can obstruct your ability to aim down sights or even properly shoulder a weapon, such as a rifle with a stock. Although sight risers do remedy the issue of aiming though optics. I also think it would depend on how close or far the shield/covering is from your face. Regardless, considering the fact that we're talking about a sci fi game, accuracies/inaccuracies do not bother me much. Thank you for your input! Much appreciated!

Also paintball weapons don't apply to your helmet example as they have the hopper. Airsoft and regular weapons don't have problems, other wise soldiers across the world would not wear any helmets including helmets that have face shields.

Spartans have a smart link system that is in there gloves which sends data to the visr system which provides a reticle based upon what weapon is in the hands. The smart link system also is what provides ammocount and grenade count also. Spartans and odsts don't have to use sights as they have the visr system in their helmets. Marines don't so the weapons have iron sights or others attached based on preference
